“The Glee Project,” Oxygen Network’s new reality series, will feature 12 young performers competing for a multi-episode guest-starring role on season three of Fox’s “Glee.”
Darren Criss, who plays Blaine, the openly-gay Warbler at Dalton Academy on “Glee,” is set to make an appearance as a guest mentor on the premiere episode of the series June 12.
The series will continue to air on Sunday nights at 9 PM ET. For more information on “The Glee Project,” visit thegleeproject.oxygen.com.
Watch below as Darren & fellow ‘Glee’ cast member Chord Overstreet spoof ‘Teenage Dream.’ The video was posted earlier this week by Cory Montieth via his twitter.
Darren recently shared his thoughts in an interview with The AP on how he would like to see the next season of ‘Glee’ start in the summer, as he would enjoy seeing how the kids interact outside of school. He would also like the opportunity to see more of the cast’s family and home life.
“I would really love it to start in the summer because I want to see what these kids are up to when they’re not in school,” Criss said. “I just want to see a little bit of summer jobs and it kind of opens up a whole lot of things.”
He added: “I always joke that everyone in Glee is like family-less. No-one has parents, no-one has brothers or sisters… like any time they have a concert or something, the parents never come, I guess.
“No-one really cares. No-one’s driving them home afterward. I don’t know how they’re getting around. They’re like 15, 16 years old.”
Wanna be a part of the Darren-Criss.org staff? I’m currently looking for a Darren fan that would like to work here and who won’t disappear two days into the job. I really need all the help I could get since Darren is getting busier by the day so no experience is needed (I can teach you how to update).

Darren Ranked #1 on 2011 AfterElton Hot 100

To say that actors dream of the sort of year twenty-four-year old Darren Criss is currently having is an understatement of epic proportions. Criss is now so currently fixed in the pop culture landscape that it’s hard to believe that most of us had never heard of him before November of last year. That’s when he joined the cast of Glee as a mentor and possible love interest for Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer) and when Criss’ version of Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” rocketed around the internet.
Given the popularity of Glee, his making The AfterElton Hot 100 was probably a given, but even when we didn’t expect him to rocket to the number one spot, the first time a newcomer has debuted at the very top. Yet, just as his version of “Teenage Dream” soared to number one on iTunes, Criss has claimed the title of #1 on the Hot 100. And gazing at those adorable brown eyes that make Kurt melt, how could it be any other way?
